On Saturday May 3rd I decided to do a day out to the cat cafe in Melbourne for a much needed me day to treat myself after dealing with a lot of intense emotions after someone cutting me off for I guess me being "too woke" (see my last blog for more details) I haven't been out by myself into the city in ages due to low spoons or busy with other things or usually being out with my partner, friends or support worker
but it was something I defs needed
so off I went on the tram into the city with Fluttershy and Teddie
who surprisingly fit in my new ita bag which is good to know for when I bring them to PAX or other events
Got to watch some anime on the tram mainly the latest subbed episode of Princession Orchestra
a new magical girl show with fun songs and epic awesome moments
its a fun show so far
After relaxing listening to music and deciding to make a playlist for Mario Kart World Free Roam mode when its out since me and my partner pre ordered the switch 2 (will share my thoughts on the switch 2 and the game in a later blog)
I was now in Melbourne and headed to Melbourne Central to get my usual lunch at Coppe Pan Bakery Fluttershy really wanted to try my strawberry ice matcha I got at yo-art x3
and yes I know I need to fix up Teddies eyes again
I had some time to kill before being at the cat cafe at 2pm so I decided to use that time to browse some shops mainly the Asian grocery store nearby
although I did worry for my tummy acting up or a ibs flare up maybe due to nerves or anxiety which is also another reason I worry heading out myself sometimes but anyway

I'm surprised I saw the Aipri cards at this shop which I like to get sometimes
and also the pikachu in the art next to Aipri was super cute and adorable
at another shop Fluttershy decided to chat with the capybaras
maybe their planning a relevoution to overthrow the goverment? /j
At Miniso they actually had g4 MLP stuff which I was pretty shocked about I knew about it on tiktok and other places but didn't think they would show up here in Australia but good to know they are at Melbourne Central really want that Fluttershy keychain

I then went on the way to the cat cafe seeing some nice little art as well as browsing nekocards they apparently had a genshin impact art market thingy which seemed alright
now I thought the cat cafe was at its usual location but when I got there I realised it moved luckily the new location was 15 mins away walking wise but I was suprised it moved locations
but hey I got some cute street art pics out of it as well as seeing a cute puppy at an art shop nearby
One of my fave things about Melbourne is the street art and the little tiny bits of art from random people or even stickers I like finding the little things like that which you will see a lot on my instagram
After what felt like a long walk
I was finally at the cat cafe
and I let them know I was sorry for being a bit late cause of being a bit lost being use to the old location
I put my bag and shoes away and put Fluttershy and Teddie away to keep them safe as much as Fluttershy would of loved the kitties I would rather her safe
and at long last I saw the kitty cats and heres some of my fave pics

"When is it my turn for food"
Overall the cat cafe was super adorable, calming and fun mainly petting the kitties
HOWEVER
I do have some criticisms with the cafe
1- I much prefer the older location and how more spaced out it was especially for downstairs where it felt more crowded
2- If you want the cats to give you more attention you have to give them the food and snacks which does cost extra although I didn't feel like doing that as others were anyway and others were happy for me to share with them even had a cat bite me a little when giving them food lol
3- The merch and website now has AI art and even AI merch which is extremely frustrating and extremely disappointing as I am sure local artists in Melbourne would be happy to do art relating to the cats
please be very careful getting merch at the store and support local artists not ai slop

Despite those critcisms I still had a fun calming relaxing time with the cats and I am sure they are well taken care of even one of the staff shows on their tiktok how working at the cafe is and it looks like the cats are well taken care of especially since they were homeless cats

I wrapped up the day browsing a store I wanted to browse for a while called Unicorn Cosmetics which has 2 locations one in Elizabeth Street and one in Carlton I went to the one in Elizabeth Street as I felt that one was closer and I was running low on energy by then

Just browsing the shop alone makes me feel like I don't need to use zenmarket for certain stuff anymore mainly Tamagotchi and angel blue stuff also stickers
and finally gal kuromi
I then ended the day going on the tram doing some pokemon go raids
although as soon as I was about to get off my stop
this girl on the tram just I was about to get off was crying saying "I don't want to turn into a slut" but then she started yelling and crying going "I dont want to turn into a slut cause of of those immuniatti dogs!!!" and just going on and ranting and swearing
I got off now at least since I was at my stop anyway But yeah that's a way to end what was supposed to be a healing day...
I hope that girl is okay and gets the help and love she needs
I dont think she's a slut that's for sure
Anyway after that I went straight home and decided to take a shower and then relax having dinner watching Cinderella for comfort but also cause I liked seeing Gus at Unicorn cosmetics earlier lol
I overall had a nice comforting fun day which was really needed after what I dealt with recently
despite some concerns and uncertainty and unanswered questions I am now left with I am proud of myself for treating myself and healing my poor little heart and taking care of myself first
I look forward to more fun comforting days like this
