It was,,, different and something new I can say that much
Now keep in mind I more grew up with the Disney Narnia films from 2005 to 2010
so maybe my biased and how I see Narnia might be different and I still need to actually read/listen to the books
and nothing against Greta Gerwig at all and what shes trying to express and show with Narnia
but personally when I think Narnia
I think of a forest like world with animals and flowers and fauna and magical like creatures
or during the winter a nice cold but comforting warmth from light you see in the lion the witch and the wardrobe and that calming yet welcoming magic
When I see this trailer I think
yeah its magical and it is pretty cool
but... it doesn't feel like narnia to me it feels like more an epic space adventure or guardians of the galaxy
however I do wanna keep an open mind and check out this film regardless and who knows maybe it might grow on me
and hey I can't talk anyway my autistic ass mixed sonic the hedgehog stuff with narnia back in my own world in my silly brain when I was 11/12 years old
like thinking of the song wave ocean during the scene in prince caspian where the peneivies came back to Narnia and a sonic stage based off that lmao
so all the more reason I need to keep an open mind cause to me its like Greta is just showing her version of how she sees Narnia the same way I saw Narnia back in my youth mixing things I enjoy and love within Narnia and causing a strange yet chaotic mix of fun
its different sure
but heres hoping the movie turns out good and is a magical time cause I will admit it would be nice for something different that isn't marvel for once
apologies for this short spontaneous blog I needed my thoughts on this out in the open before I forget
hopefully I bother with more blogs soon when I'm in the headspace to write more
