It feels we are living like Shimoneta right now..

Apologies that its been a while since a blog been feeling tired and stuff 
but anyway 
I've been feeling frustrated and scared for the current state of art and censorship at the moment 
A tweet chibireviews did basically summarized it as this 

Collective Shout being a group in Australia trying to ban and censor games they find "uncomfortable" or "concerning" thinking its to protect kids when really 
its about control especially now with Mastecard and Visa now outright removing shit or stopping people from buying adult things 
and oh no they won't just go after things that people dislike they will go after things people like too 
everyone in some way or another will be affected by this 
The UK especially is being hit by this and its FUCKING BULLSHIT


Once again its not about protecting kids from things 
if it was theres a thing called PARENTAL CONTROLS 
and parents needing to stop relying on the internet as a babysitter and teaching kids about online safety and about media literacy and whats real life and what isn't 

Its about controlling and banning all forms of art and shaming those into certain art as a coping mechanism 

People are allowed to feel uncomfortable or even not like certain art 
but censorship and banning things is not the fucking answer at all 

 Wikipedia being banned of all fucking things in the UK is also pretty messed up as people need Wikipedia to help learn things and find resources and stuff 
like what the actual fuck man 

If this starts to effect Australia more as well I'm gonna be so embarrassed and ashamed 

But there is a way to stand up and fight against this 
which is calling mastercard and visa and complaining to them what is going on 
something I will admit I need to do when I am bothered hahahah

So there is a way to fight back and tell them whats going on and the censorship and banning of art and video games and what the UK and the US and possbily Australia is doing is not okay 
Stand up and fight back! 
Not just for the art you enjoy but for ALL forms of art
